Becker Reviews

I really appreciate Becker and all it offers its users. It is easy to navigate and very straightforward. I was able to pass my first CPA exam on the first try; I believe Becker had everything to do with that. I cannot speak for Academic Support because I have yet to use it, however the Customer Support is wonderful. They are prompt, communicative, and pleasant. I find the Facebook study groups extremely helpful and a wonderful resource as well.
I have just one complaint. The instructors sometimes create unnecessary comparisons. For example, when an instructor says something like, "I'll tell you why I'm not in audit, I passed with a 75 and that's why you wont see me there", it may cause other students who got around that score to question their own intelligence, confidence, and chosen path. It's tough when we can't interact with the instructor and we're stuck with only the words the instructor says (no further context, hard to tell sarcastic tones/jokes, etc.). I look up to the instructors and value their opinions, and hearing the aforementioned statement would take away any excitement/proud feeling that I had about passing.
That being said, I do think the instructors are relatable, engaging, and informative. All in all, it's a 5 star review course and I will recommend it to others.

Overall, I think Becker worked out really well when studying for the CPA exam. I had more than enough resources to be prepared on exam day. With that being said, I had a few complaints. Some of the lectures were very long (over 1 hour). I understand that there is a lot of content that needs covered, but sometimes the lectures discussed topics that were way too complex and I never saw on exam day. I get that you want to cover all your bases, its just difficult to focus when a lecture breaks the 1 hour mark. The other suggestion I have it to get rid of the skills practice. I used skills practice a lot when studying for my first exam, but quickly learned they provided no benefit and just took too much time.
Otherwise, I had a very good experience with Becker. It was definitely worth the money in the end.

Great program so far, just wish some instructors did more than tell you to underline things.

I've always had great experience with Becker's customer service. I appreciated the clear and honest communication that my books were on backorder.

Becker is an amazing review program for every CPA candidate!
If I were to be asked 'how to improve the program' I would not have what to say! ;) They thought of everything.... ;)

Excellent customer service!

Becker helped me to pass all 4 sections of the CPA Exam on the first try and I couldn't be more supportive of this service! Their process for studying is especially helpful and very easily customizable. The materials provided cover all the relevant topics in a concise and thorough manner.

Overall great program. Going through entire program and leaving 3 weeks for final review book & overall final review definitely prepared me for each exam.

Highly recommend.

I love the software. It is a clean look, gives a good approach to studying, and is a tried-and-true method to pass the exam. Some things I would change: please let Mike Potenza do all the Simulation video explanations for REG. Steve Goldstein talked too slow, even when I would speed up the video, often messed up while explaining the topics, and has very little energy compared to other explanations by Mike. I relied on those videos to explain some topics, but struggled to get through ones taught by Steve, if I even watched them at all.

Great instruction books, excellent instructors. I do not regret one bit my choice of selecting Becker as my review course for the CPA exams! Thank you!
